Creating Mobility

Price: $145 per person

Number of Sessions: 3

Length Per Session: 1.5 hrs

About this Workshop Series: Wellness for MakersTM was created to make self-care, stretching, and massage techniques more accessible to artists everywhere. The strain of working long hours and the stress that comes along with the process can increase your risk of injury over time. However, by deepening your understanding of the body, you can create more sustainable studio routines.

Elasticity is the ability of our soft tissues to resume their original shapes after being stretched, compressed, or massaged. Elasticity supports mobility by allowing you to safely exercise your body’s range of motion. This workshop will explore safe and accessible stretching, strengthening, and massage techniques that can be used to develop and maintain your body’s natural elasticity and overall mobility. Attendees will be provided with a mix of background information, such as how knots develop in the body, and practical instruction, such as different ways to increase blood flow, circulation, and flexibility. These techniques are designed to help boost energy levels, alleviate pain, reduce the risk of injury, and improve posture. Wellness for MakersTM was created to empower artists like you through education, mindful living, and movement.

Babes in Business

TURN YOUR PASSION INTO YOUR CAREER

Cities across the country are filled with women hustling to achieve their dreams and meet their goals. It’s time for us Babes to strengthen our communities while supporting one another. We have come together to form a different kind of networking group, one where all are welcome - even supporters of Babes! Why are we doing this? Because after a year of attending meet ups, we saw an opportunity to create a group of our own where one was lacking. So here we are - Babes In Business is born!

We want this to be a place where you can all come share ideas and network with one another. A place where you can learn more about growing your business and get inspired. There are so many amazing, strong, bad ass business babes out there and we just wanted to put them all in one place - Because together we are unstoppable.

Speaker Topics:

Missy will be discussing her journey and how she decided to combine all of her passions (Massage Therapy, Yoga, and Art) into her dream job. Every day she helps motivate and inspire other creatives to discover new ways to live a healthier life. She now tours universities, craft centers, and fun places where people are making art. All while growing her business and helping makers of all kinds to develop more conscious and sustainable practices.
