My studio practice involves a lot of different types of repetitive tasks, so I am always looking for new ways to take care of my hands and body. As a jeweler, I know what it’s like to experience tension in my hands after an extended period of time spent sawing. I started using an ergonomic saw handle about a year ago and I have to say it has been a wonderful addition to my tool box! It allows me to maintain a looser grip and helps to prevent cramping in my hands and wrists.
These handles are handmade by Raissa Bump (Founder of Reset) and her husband Jonathan Anzalone in their studio in San Francisco, CA. Each handle is turned from a mix of hardwoods such as walnut, maple, ash, or oak, and oil-finished for a smooth, comfortable feel in your hand. Each handle fits a classic German-made adjustable jeweler’s saw frame. The ferrule is capped in copper with a hole just under ¼ inch in diameter.
I really enjoy collaborating with other small businesses to bring you great products, so I am excited to share that we are now carrying Reset’s ergonomic handles in the wellness shop!
