I am excited to share that Wellness for Makers and Reset will be at this year’s NCECA conference in Pittsburgh, PA! In case you didn’t know, NCECA, the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts, is an awesome conference for ceramic artists. It is a great opportunity to attend amazing lectures, exhibitions, and workshops, and have a great time networking. Come meet us at booth # 429 in the vendor room!
Last year’s conference in Portland, Oregon was my first NCECA experience, and I have to say that it was incredible! Raïssa Bump (Founder of Reset) and I set up a booth in the vendor room to lead demonstrations, share resources, and sell a fantastic collection of self-care tools.
As a jeweler, I am used to much smaller conferences, so it was both overwhelming and exciting to see how many people poured through the doors on opening day. The energy of the community was inspiring and it was rewarding to receive such a positive response.
I am also excited to announce that Wellness for Makers and Reset have a conference pass available for one enthusiastic Maker! We are looking for an outgoing volunteer to help us manage the booth for a few hours each day and be responsible for taking some pictures at our booth throughout the conference.
The selected volunteer will receive a full conference pass and the opportunity to learn practical techniques for relieving the strains that can develop from an active studio practice. Applications are due by February 9th, 2018. All applicants will be notified with the results on February 16th, 2018. Follow the link below to apply! Good luck!
